Will take over the Old British Legion Club Premises in February 2010 but will be completely independent. The Verwood Branch of the Royal British Legion will still exist and may still meet in the new club but will have nothing to do with the running of the Community Club. Please note that most Verwood RBL Memorabilia and the "Book of Rememberance" will transfer to the Town Hall.

Although it is likely that it will be given a different name in the fulness of time. The Old British Legion club complete with all its fixtures and fittings,is in the process of being bought by a Cambridge developer and once the deal is finally agreed by the RBL (which should be this week). it will be run as a separate company limited by guarantee so that all profits will be ploughed back into the club. Mr Giddings stated that until the details are finally agreed the following are the salient points.
